Visioning Workshop

Community partners and artists come together to share their thoughts on art in the neighbourhood, the needs of the beneficiaries, and potential ideas for co-creation of the artwork. 

Co-Creation Workshops with the Community

Saturdays from 9 November to 21 December 2019*

Community members will work alongside artists to design three art installations in MacPherson which celebrate the stories of the residents and the unique qualities of the neighbourhood. Whether it’s painting, sculpting, or photo taking, the residents will be invited to take part in some way so that they can make the pieces their own! 

*Each community partner and artist will have 2-3 sessions within this time frame

Arts Trail

21 March 2020

Arts Trail @MacPherson showcases the co-created artworks of Arts @ MacPherson where the public is invited to be charmed and inspired by the neighbourhood stories from both artists and residents. Participants were also invited to come contribute to the artwork itself as they explored hidden gems of the area.

Reflection Session

End March 2020

Community partners will be invited to share their thoughts on their Arts @ MacPherson experience through an interview with Participate in Design.

Thank You Gathering

25 March 2020

To celebrate the collaboration between all those involved in the initiative, we will end off the project with a thank you dinner as a time of gratitude and reflection.
