Mui Ping Lim
Senior Associate (Project) aka “Our Sassy Hands-on Super Girl”
A wise man once told me, "Design is whatever you say it is." For Mui Ping, a design needs to have a purpose- be it a product, app or a conceptual piece. The satisfaction of designing for a purpose and seeing the user appreciating your hard-work is the most rewarding gift to her. She is always hungry for material exploration and new technology. She has always loved drawing and has created her own illustration brand - Bleak illustration, which documents the hardships of design life. She learnt about material properties from her Diploma in User Experience and Product Design in Singapore Polytechnic and has knowledge in 3D printing through working in the design industry. After furthering her studies in 3D Design at NAFA, she found P!D and was interested in engaging the public and redesigning spaces to improve the lives of people. She has a weakness for adorable animals.
Amira Komari
Senior Associate (Design) aka “Our ray of sunshine and design maverick”
Amira is a graphic designer who believes in the power of colour and fun. She uses design as a tool to bridge communication and to foster relationships. Her love for participatory design bloomed after she completed her thesis on encouraging social interaction between people with young-onset Alzheimer’s. Amira has worked with local communities to develop toolkits for people with Alzheimer’s and produced exhibitions championing for wellbeing in old age. She is a family girl at heart and when basking in the luxury of time, she enjoys slow walks in the park. Amira graduated with a BFA in Visual Communication from the School of Art, Design and Media (NTU) in 2018.
